10,000 SUPPORTERS FOR THE STONEWALL N.M.!

Maybe you’ve seen that my project Stonewall National Monument, New York (U.S.A.) has reached 10,000 supporters, with more than 1,000 comments. That’s amazing news! If you supported the project, thank you again from the bottom of my heart! The LEGO Ideas Team will begin the review in May, and the results will probably be published on the LEGO Ideas blog around the end of September.

In just 45 days, the project reached the goal of 10,000 votes. So many people helped by sharing the work on forums and social media, helping the LEGO version of the Stonewall N.M. be seen around the world and find its supporters.

Many online magazines also wrote about my work. I’d love to share some of the most interesting links with you!

GCN had supported my previous project “Heartstopper – Charlie’s Room,” and now they wrote a beautiful article about Stonewall: clicca qui.

Geekspin is another kind media outlet that always says kind words about my projects. Here is their article: clicca qui.

I’m especially proud to be published on Mombian – Sustenance For Lesbian Moms And Other LGBTQ Parents. They even contacted me kindly to ask for permission. Their work is very important, and I really admire them. Their site, founded in 2005, has won the GLAAD Media Award for Best Blog twice! clicca qui.

Not only general magazines, but also LEGO-specialized ones wrote great articles. I must tell you how happy I was to appear on Tips&Bricks, a blog that talks about many LEGO topics (building techniques, styles, colors, artists), but it’s one of the very few (maybe the only one) that also discusses gender and sexual orientation representation in the LEGO world, official or not. Here is their wonderful article about my work – they even chose it as MOC of the Week! Clicca qui.

Also BrickFanatics wrote a kind article: clicca qui.

LEGO hasn’t been just a toy for many years now. It inspires millions of people all around the world. If the LEGO Stonewall N.M. becomes an official set, it would have a big impact: promoting representation, history, culture, civil values, smiles, and constructive dialogue. It would be a meaningful set for many people, because its value goes beyond its look or the building techniques used. Of course, it’s not easy to be selected – there is a lot of competition, and the world is not exactly going in the direction of supporting minorities – but together with you, I hope this dream will come true!
