In Dream Harbour, everyone’s dreams come true!
Roberto is a wood sculptor. After the loss of his husband, he built the Orange Woodshop, where his hands now create stunning works of art. His daughter, Luna, produces organic fruit juices.

Description of the Artwork

The Orange Woodshop is itself a captivating piece, made entirely of wood.

  • The main building is the orange woodshop itself, located on a raised terrace. Its whimsical style and filled with Roberto’s creations.
  • Beneath the workshop’s canopy, overlooking the sea, Roberto carves wood with his extensive set of tools at hand.
  • Nearby, a fountain on the promenade offers a refreshing stop for passersby and their animal companions.
  • The boardwalk is frequented by local fishermen.
  • A large lemon tree stands in the small garden, shading the woodshop and heavy with fruit.
  • Luna’s stand is a small brick kiosk painted in light nougat.

The scent of wood creates a warm atmosphere around the workshop

Now, Roberto is the wood sculptor of Dream Harbour. Two years ago, after losing his husband, Kyosuke, he and Luna were overcome with grief. They never imagined they could start anew. Yet, with time and determination, they left the city and moved to this magical place. Together, they restored an orange wooden cottage and the nearby brick watchtower. Now, Roberto works by the sea, and the soothing rhythm of his chisel and the scent of wood draw the young locals, who are enchanted by his quiet artistry. On weekends, Luna sells her much-loved organic fruit juices and treats to the residents of Dream Harbour.

The story of Roberto and Luna

Morning light

The morning sun bathes Roberto‘s workshop in Dream Harbour, painting the walls with even more vibrant shades of orange. Around him, the garden is a cozy green nook, and the lemon tree’s leaves shine, with yellow fruits hanging like little suns from the tree that Kyosuke lovingly planted.

While Roberto works beneath the workshop canopy, chiselling the wood with care and precision, his eyes fall on Luna, moving swiftly around the lemon tree, collecting its ripe fruits. She’s preparing lemonade in her kiosk, which now offers a range of delicious organic fruit juices.
Simple yet precious moments like these fill Roberto’s heart with a peace he thought lost after losing his beloved partner, Kyosuke.

Memories to hold on to

Roberto vividly remembered the day he met Kyosuke. It was a chance encounter in a bookstore, both of them looking at the same photography book on sculpture. From that moment, they began seeing each other, and a deep relationship blossomed, full of shared values and dreams.

Their life together was filled with passion and joy, bound by their mutual love for art. They visited Dream Harbour many times, finding peace there. When little Luna arrived, their home overflowed with even more love. She grew up quickly, and their days passed serenely, until that fateful day.

Three years ago, Kyosuke left for a short work trip to his homeland but never returned. A sudden illness took him from this life, leaving Roberto and Luna in a deep, seemingly endless sorrow. In the months that followed, their once joyful home became silent. Roberto and Luna stayed close, their hearts heavy with grief.

A time of sorrow

As the months went by, they slowly resumed parts of their daily lives. Luna returned to her university studies, and Roberto to his office job. But happiness seemed elusive. Luna struggled to focus on her beloved marine biology, while Roberto wasted his spare time on trivial distractions.

A year after the tragedy, during a quiet evening, they spoke of Kyosuke’s ever-cheerful nature. Roberto reminded Luna of something Kyosuke often said: “Don’t be afraid of the whole journey, just take one step, then the next, and the next. No one has ever achieved something great without taking that first small step.”
They cried, but this time with quiet melancholy, remembering Kyosuke’s wisdom and love. His words felt like a call to action. Instantly, they recalled Dream Harbour, a place of peace and joyful weekends, and decided to move there at once, to that enchanting, magical seaside town.

Starting life anew

In Dream Harbour, they found the old, rundown wooden cottage that Roberto and Kyosuke had bought long ago, dreaming of fixing it up and spending weekends there. It had a fairytale look, with a small garden where Kyosuke had once planted a lemon tree. Now, the tree was tall and seemed to embrace the cottage and an ancient little watchtower with its shade. Roberto and Luna saw it as the perfect place to make their dreams come true.

As they restored the cottage and tower, with the help of the Dream Harbour community, their spirits also began to heal. Roberto found a new outlet for his creativity through wood sculpture. Luna, inspired by the constant presence of the sea and comforted by new friends, rediscovered her passion for marine biology. On weekends, she worked at her organic juice stand, set up in the old tower. It became a gathering spot for the locals, who loved the sound of Roberto’s chisel and admired his craft while enjoying Luna’s fruit juices and treats.

And now, while Roberto works beneath the workshop canopy, chiselling wood with care and precision, his eyes fall on Luna, moving swiftly around the lemon tree, collecting its ripe fruits, like little suns, from the branches Kyosuke had planted with love.
